MUSIC IN OUR SCHOOLS: Today we are showcasing Mr. Allport at CFE! Lessons are an integral part of any music program, it allows our staff to get personalized time with each student, understand their needs, and help them thrive in group settings!

MAPLE DAY: The Middle School Agriculture Class under the guidance of Mrs. Hantsch welcomed students from CFE to their annual Maple Day festivities. This tradition offers an enriching experience for our CFE students as they delve into the process of maple syrup production!
Similar to last year, the agriculture students took to tapping trees across the CF campus to collect sap. This year proved successful as they boiled down 3 quarts of syrup! The event continues to serve as a hands-on educational opportunity for all involved.

EMPLOYMENT: We are looking for highly motivated individuals to join #ForksNation as a Food Service Helper! Apply online today! https://www.cforks.org/page/employment

MUSIC IN OUR SCHOOLS: Continuing with our celebration of Music in Our Schools Month, we are highlighting Mr. Pace's Middle School Band class!

TICKET WINNERS: Congratulations to our CFE ticket winners this week!

KIDS CAN BUILD: The construction is under way at CFMS for this year's Kids CAN Build competition! Some of our media partners stopped by to promote the hard work our students are putting in! Can you guess this year's design? (It's based off a famous children's book!)

ART EXPLORATION: Mrs. Doolittle's Art Exploration class had an amazing experience at Binghamton University. Students were exposed to a variety of oil and acrylic paintings. Leonard and Ruth Bocour and Sam Golden gifted the pieces to Binghamton University Art Museum after supplying the painting ingredients to a variety of artists. Students had the opportunity to experiment hands on, the difference between oil and acrylic paints.

END THE STEREOTYPES: Today, Chenango Forks CSD celebrates World Down Syndrome Day. According to the organization, Down Syndrome Intenational, this year's theme is #EndTheSteryotypes.
World Down Syndrome International on Stereotypes:
"A stereotype is a set idea that people have about what someone or something is like. Stereotypes can be positive, negative or neutral, but they are often inaccurate, or simply wrong! Stereotypes are often based on limited information or personal experience. They can be reinforced by the way something is represented in the media or by cultural messages. Once formed, a stereotype can be difficult to change."
