Last night, the Chenango Forks Elementary Student Council proudly presented to the Board of Education, sharing their recent community initiatives!
Accompanied by Mrs. Johnson, our grades 3-5 student leaders highlighted their recent projects, including making holiday cards for Veterans, collecting cold-weather items (hats, mittens, socks) for the Chenango Forks Holiday Basket Program, creating Valentine’s Day cards for community members and collaborating with administration on recess rooms.
It was wonderful to see our young leaders display the work they are doing in our community!

If you are interested in learning more about joining the school board, Broome Tioga-BOCES is hosting a Prospective Board Member Session. This will be held Thursday, April 3 at 6:30 p.m. at the BT-BOCES Instructional Support Center in conference room A.
This is an opportunity to learn about board member responsibilities, expectations of colleagues and administrators, legal responsibilities and election procedures and the challenges of public service.

The Food Center, which is located at CFMS, is available to all Chenango Forks School District students and their families. Chenango Forks Future Farmers of America students Fenton Aukema (grade 6) and Anna Aukema (grade 9) competed in the District 4 Leadership Development Event for the FFA on Saturday, Jan. 25. Fenton competed in Jr. People in Agriculture and Anna competed in Sr. People in Agriculture where she took 4th place, earning her the opportunity to compete in Substates in March. Congratulations to both students and best of luck to Anna as she moves forward in the competition!
March Superintendent’s Day Clarification: CF Families, please be aware for planning purposes, that our March Superintendent’s Conference Day is Friday, March 14. The district calendars mailed home have indicated that it would be March 7, but this is not the case. There is no school on March 14.

Last night, the CF MS/HS Winter Chorus Concert filled the air with incredible music!
The 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade choruses, the high school chorus, and our select choir, the Pitchforks, delivered wonderful performances to a full house. Several talented soloists were spotlighted throughout the evening, and the grand finale brought all the choruses together for an unforgettable moment.
A big thank you to Mr. Vavalle for his hard work and dedication to our choral program!
On Wednesday evening, the middle school and high school bands held their winter concert. The event featured performances by the 6th grade band, the 7th and 8th grade band, and the high school concert band, with a total of 10 musical selections. It was evident to all that the students put a lot of time and effort into preparing for their concert.
A special thank you to Mr. Pace and Mr. Reynolds for their dedication and leadership in guiding the CF band program. We look forward to the choral concert on Monday, Dec. 16 at 6:30 p.m.
