After reading "The Wild Robot" by Peter Brown, students in Mrs. Collier’s fourth grade class were inspired to creatively design and build a variety of projects. From board games to robots to watercolor paintings, each project was inspired by the unique characters and rich setting of the story.
When learning that the second graders in Mrs. Masters’ second grade class had also read the book, Mrs. Collier’s class welcomed them in to see the projects, providing a similar experience to visiting a museum. The second graders were all smiles as they learned about each project!
Mrs. Hantsch's Middle School Agriculture class had the pleasure of welcoming Mrs. Aukema and Ms. Peila for a special lesson on dog breeding and showing! This hands-on experience was a fun and engaging way for students to review genetics as they gear up for the state science test. It also introduced students to careers in animal care.
The best part of the visit was getting to play with adorable puppies!
