
ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Ethan Vaseleck is coming off two impressive back-to-back top-15 finishes last week, setting personal records (PRs) at both events. He clocked a 19:23 at the Jack Gariepy Invitational, followed by a 7th place finish at the Tornado 5000, where he shaved 20 seconds off his time with a new PR of 19:03. In addition to his cross-country success, Ethan also excels in basketball and track & field. Congratulations, Ethan!

SHOE DONATIONS: The Chenango Forks Middle School Student Council is collecting gently used shoes to support hurricane victims in Florida. Your donations can help families in need rebuild their lives. Middle School Students can drop shoes off in the SAA next to the nurse's office. Members of the public can drop off at the High School Visitor's Entrance!


NEW ENERGY LAB VISIT: NY-BEST, Southern Tier 8, Binghamton University, Koffman Incubator, HiT Nano, and RIT recently visited the BT-BOCES Clean Energy & Battery Storage program at our high school. They explored our innovative curriculum and cutting-edge technologies that are helping shape the future of sustainable energy. COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS: Mr. Patrick Doyle, Vice President of the Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce visited with our students this week to talk about what the Chamber is, and what they do to help businesses in our area!




COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS: The Entrepreneurship class took a trip to BC Fit, the newest 24-hour gym on Front Street! The business was started by CF alum, Mason Mastroianni and Tom Testa.
Mastroianni has taken over his grandfather's comic strip 'BC' (and company - Johnny Hart Studio), as well as an entrepreneur operating other businesses here and in Atlana, GA
Testa is the owner of Testa and Sons Plumbing, as well as operating other businesses in the area.
The students toured the gym and then spent 3 hours discussing what it's like to start and run a small business!




JOP OPPORTUNITY: Chenango Forks Central School District is hiring for a part/full-time Teacher Aide position at the elementary school level. This is a ten-month position effective immediately. CONSTRUCTION DAY: Chenango Forks students were able to attend the annual Construction-Technology Career Day, held at the county highway department facility, thanks to BT-BOCES! Hundreds of local high school students got to operate heavy equipment, try their hands at several trades skills, and discuss career opportunities with school, company, and union representatives.








ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Senior Captain Finn Stark is off to an impressive start this season. He's averaging over 8 yards per rush and 38 yards per catch, leading the team with 9 touchdowns and the most reception yards. In addition to his offensive contributions, Finn is a key leader on our defense and a standout player on the baseball team. Congratulations, Finn!
