Chenango Forks Honors: As Veteran's Day falls at the end of this week (Nov. 11), Chenango Forks CSD would like to honor those who have graduated, or made great contributions to our schools, who have also served our country.
Today we honor Lieutenant William C. Walker, (CFHS Class of 1962) who served in the Army during the Vietnam War. Walker was known as an athlete at Forks, however, later in life, he was known as a wonderful husband, father, brother, and friend to many. He adored his grandchildren, including his grandson, Stephen Samsel (currently a junior) who beat the school record for longest touchdown (96 yards). Also, broke the record for most receiving yards in a game. Lt. Walker loved his country and loved life to the fullest. #CFHonors #VeteransDay
