Today was our first Rise and Shine Assembly of the school year here at CFE for our 3rd through 5th grade students. This assembly was led by Mrs. Birch and Mrs. Young. The focus of this assembly was on how to be a positive leader in the building throughout all parts of the school day.
Congratulations to our students who were recognized for "Leading The Way" this week!

Last week, the CFE library was filled with smiles and stories as Fourth Grade Reading Buddies visited Pre-K! The older students took time to read picture books to our youngest learners, helping spark a love of reading and building new friendships along the way. It was a heartwarming moment of mentorship and literacy in action, we’re so proud of our thoughtful and caring fourth grade students!

Black Out Football Game this Friday Night at CF vs Windsor
For the past several years, our program has sold discount cards and dedicated part of the proceeds to wearing special uniforms for one game while also honoring or promoting a local cause. In the past, we’ve recognized our military, raised cancer awareness, supported mental health initiatives, and last year paid tribute to first responders.
This year, our game on Friday, September 19 vs. Windsor will spotlight two programs at Catholic Charities - Family Care Management and Gateway (see details below).
For the game, CF players will wear all black uniforms while Windsor takes the field in all white. Both teams sold special shirts and hoodies for the event, with proceeds benefiting the two programs. While apparel sales have ended, we encourage all CF fans to wear black and all Windsor fans to wear white to show their support for their team and these important causes.
About the Programs:
Family Care Management – Assists families with school, housing, health care, job training, and financial needs.
Gateway – Provides case management, individual support, and group programs that build life skills such as parenting and managing emotions.

It was a beautiful morning here in #ForksNation as we welcomed our middle and high school students back for the start of the 2025 - 2026 school year! We can't wait to see all the amazing things in store for our students this year at Chenango Forks CSD!

We are thrilled to announce the new murals that have recently been painted in the CFE Library!
Artists: Recent graduate Shawn Aldrich and current grade 10 Jaylynn Martinez shared their time and talents this summer.
Theme: They beautifully brought some of our students’ favorite characters to life on the walls of the library. They will also help direct students to some of their favorite books.
The new artwork has transformed the grades 3 - 5 side of the library into a more inviting space, encouraging students to explore and enjoy their reading adventures.
