Chenango Forks High School students participated in ‘Chalk the Walk Have the Talk,” a community-wide awareness project in observance with World Suicide Prevention Day. The project was hosted by BC Safe and took place from Sept. 13-17. Participants are encouraged to beautify sidewalks and pavement with messages and images and hope and resilience to promote suicide prevention, mental wellness and stigma reduction.
It's critical to address the stigma around suicide and have open conversations. The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is 800-273-8255.
