Hello Chenango Forks Families,
As we begin October, it is great to see all of our buildings and extra-curricular programs in full swing! Changing months also means that we will be adding an additional focus for our character education program. This month we focus on the mindset of “Being Proactive.” This habit is such a great foundation because it empowers our students (your children) to focus on things in their life and control their actions. Some of the terms you may hear reinforced this month are:
- You’re in Charge of You!
- The Circle of Control vs. Circle of No Control
- How You Can “Make Your Own Weather”
Also, from the District Office, I am thrilled to announce that Chenango Forks has just been Awarded a $475,000 grant from the Department of Justice BJA FY 2023 Preventing School Violence initiative! This grant will enable the district to enact new safety layers,
emergency management & communication software and expand our social emotional wellness and character education programs through resources and training. I’d like to thank our district administrators for their persistence and diligence in helping us complete this application process.
