April is child abuse awareness month. For the past two years the Art Department has partnered with the Broome County Violence Prevention Council in their annual art contest to show awareness. This years theme was," Overcoming challenges".
Students created a visual representation of what that meant for them. This year the winner was Marissa Giovenco! Marissa was asked to join a press conference at the Cheri Lindsey memorial in Binghamton. Marissa's design will be displayed on the digital billboard on the Brandywine highway for two weeks.
In addition to Marissa, the second place winner is Da'Shaun Aldrich who won a pizza party for his design. Third place was Emma How, who won an art kit.
Congratulations to all of the students that participated!
