
FOOD WARS: Congratulations to our own Eliza Korducavich for receiving first place for 'Best Entree' at the BT BOCES 'Food Wars' Competition! Korducavich was the Executive Chef for Team Dobry Polski which cooked Polish food. Korducavich chose this ethnicity to honor her late grandparents. 'Gratulacje!'

Fourth graders in Mrs. Collier’s class created biography bottles to represent famous people during the Revolutionary War. These projects are on display in the Broome County Public Library's children's section. A special thank you to Mrs. Kurcin & Mrs. Malejs for all their contributions and assistance!

Students from Ms. Collier's class went outside to pick up trash today for Earth Day! Afterwards, they took the time to graph the trash based on the material they're made of and discussed if it was biodegradable, recyclable, and how we can keep our school clean!




NATIONAL ASSISTANT PRINCIPALS' WEEK: Our last fun fact of the week about Mrs. Young!


Our Second Graders participated in a Poetry Recitation this week! Each student chose and memorized one poem to recite in front of their class and the judges, Mr. Burkhardt, Mrs. Birch, and Mrs. Dvorsky. Each student was scored on expression, clarity, pace, and presentation. Scores were totaled and winners from each class were announced. There were also three overall winners.

In preparation for the Career Fair, our CFE students performed some career research in the library! The Kindergarteners, read 'Let’s Meet a Construction Worker' then worked together to build something of their choice using magna tiles – Some of the creations included schools, houses, apartment buildings, and castles!

CAREER DAY! Chenango Forks Elementary students were given the opportunity today to meet with businesses and companies located around the Southern Tier! Opportunities ranged from attorneys to police officers, HVAC engineers, and even positions that incorporate virtual reality!

The UPK registration deadline is Friday, March 24th at 3:00pm. Completed applications can be dropped of to the District Registrar at the High School or to the Main Office at CFE.
Kindergarten Registration is strongly recommended at this time, although there is no deadline, we encourage every family to sign their child up as soon as they can!
