PRESIDENT'S DAY: Originally established in 1885 in recognition of President George Washington, the holiday became popularly known as Presidents' Day after it was moved as part of 1971’s Uniform Monday Holiday Act, an attempt to create more three-day weekends for the nation’s workers.

POSITIVITY BOARD: Mrs. Johnson's class created a bulletin board filled with positive quotes from authors they enjoy reading from! The class hopes that other students walking through the halls can read and reflect on some positivity!

AG IN THE CLASSROOM: Our second-grade friends at CFE were able to make some unique Valentine's Day Cards through our Ag in the Classroom program this week! They made designs stamped to pages using different kinds of vegetables and fruits! Can anyone guess what the 'heart' dye was made out of?
RISE AND SHINE: Thank you to Mrs. Slater for leading our Rise and Shine assembly today for our 4th and 5th grade students. The focus of this assembly was to not judge a book by its cover. Mrs. Slater talked with students about not judging someone by the way they look, instead get to know people, and find out who they are on the inside. Congratulations to our shout outs from 4th and 5th grade!

NEW MURAL: Students at CFE made signs to welcome a small team of highschoolers to their building last week. The high schooler have begun the process of creating a beautiful mural highlighting the 7 Habits of in the entry way!
