Chenango Forks alumna Zoe Ranucci (Sprague) has earned national recognition for her artistic talents, as she was selected by First Lady Dr. Jill Biden to illustrate the official 2024 White House Holiday Tour Book. This prestigious project showcases the White House's holiday decorations.
For Ranucci, the project began with a tour of the White House in August, where she studied the rooms to be featured and received detailed descriptions of the planned holiday décor. Because the White House is decorated after Thanksgiving, Ranucci relied on the design plans to create her illustrations.
In addition to illustrating the various rooms for the tour book, Ranucci designed a unique holiday pattern. This pattern was used to create printable gift tags, wrapping paper, holiday cards, and even designed a coloring page of the White House Blue Room, all of which are available on the official White House website 2024 Holidays at the White House | The White House.
In December, Ranucci had the honor of returning to the White House for a reception unveiling the holiday décor, where she had the opportunity to meet Dr. Biden in person.
Ranucci is the owner of Good Dharma Design and has worked as an illustrator and graphic designer for over 20 years.
