On December 9, Dom Puglisi, a 2022 graduate of Chenango Fork High School and owner of Northern Roost Food Truck, returned to his alma mater to speak to Mr. Rosco’s Entrepreneurship class. Puglisi shared his journey of starting and managing his own food truck business, providing valuable insights to the students about entrepreneurship.
During his visit, Puglisi covered essential topics such as creating a business plan, budgeting for start-up costs, managing ongoing expenses, and being prepared for unexpected expenses. He also described how he chooses locations and events for his food truck, adapts his business to seasonal changes, and shared his future aspirations as company grows.
Puglisi also discussed how his prior work experience in the food industry prepared him for this business venture. The students were able to tour the food truck, and have an opportunity to ask questions, allowing students to learn from Puglisi’s business experience. It was an inspirational and educational experience for our future entrepreneurs!
